WGBH becomes the 15th Hydra partner

The WGBH Educational Foundation, based in Boston, today became the 15th Hydra partner.  Karen Cariani, Director of the WGBH Media Library and Archives, writes:

“[WGBH has] been building on-line digital libraries for our media archive for over 10 tears and developing a DAM [Digital Asset Management] system for over 15 years.

“…We are developing a digital asset management system for media materials focusing on preservation needs using the Fedora-Hydra-Blacklight stack.  We also plan to utilize the great work done by a number of other Hydra partners and contribute back any advances we develop. We hope that the success of this project will lead the way for other public media institutions to join the Hydra community and utilize the system developed from this project.”

Hydra is delighted to welcome as a partner WGBH,  the US Public Broadcasting Service’s  “single largest producer of Web and TV content.”
